Rasam powder

We love rasam at our home. As my rasam was not turning delicious i searched on net and found this recipe for rasam powder which put on end to my disastrous rasam making. Now we make rasam almost every day at home.So thought i might share this recipe.


Ingredients :
  1. 1 cup Coriander
  2. 1/4 cup Toor dal
  3. 1/4 cup Chana dal
  4. 2 tbsp Cumin
  5. 1-2 tbl Black pepper
  6. 4-6 Broken red chillies
  7. 1/2 tsp Hing
  8. 1/2 tsp Methi seeds
  9. 1 Sting Curry leaves
Instructions :
  1. Heat Tawa on high flame.
  2. Place it on medium heat and then put all the ingredients above and dry roast till it leaves a nice aroma.
  3. Switch off and let it cool.
  4. Once it is cool grind to a fine powder using a blender.
  5. Store in a airtight container.
  6. Can be used for about 6-8 months. 
NOTE :
  •  If you like it to be little spicy add in more red chillies and pepper.
