Rasam powder
We love rasam at our home. As my rasam was not turning delicious i searched on net and found this recipe for rasam powder which put on end to my disastrous rasam making. Now we make rasam almost every day at home.So thought i might share this recipe.
Ingredients :
- 1 cup Coriander
- 1/4 cup Toor dal
- 1/4 cup Chana dal
- 2 tbsp Cumin
- 1-2 tbl Black pepper
- 4-6 Broken red chillies
- 1/2 tsp Hing
- 1/2 tsp Methi seeds
- 1 Sting Curry leaves
Instructions :
- Heat Tawa on high flame.
- Place it on medium heat and then put all the ingredients above and dry roast till it leaves a nice aroma.
- Switch off and let it cool.
- Once it is cool grind to a fine powder using a blender.
- Store in a airtight container.
- Can be used for about 6-8 months.
- If you like it to be little spicy add in more red chillies and pepper.
